Seasons
India peak season is December and the first week of January, when palace hotels can sell out 6–9 months ahead at premium rates. Shoulder seasons (October, late January–February, March, late September) offer the same weather at noticeably lower prices.
Internal Flights vs Road
Internal flights cost more upfront but save half-days of driving. For 12+ night itineraries we always recommend at least 1–2 internal flights — the time saved is worth more than the cost.
